In a autumnal yellow yarn, The Austen Jumper takes its inspiration from author Jane Austen.

Austen was no stranger to The National Peak District, spending many of her holidays in the region. She was so inspired for the area, that many of the towns, stately homes and locations of natural beauty were often used as backdrops in her novels.

It was from her visits to The Peak District that she was inspired to include several locations in her novel Pride & Prejudice. Bakewell was renamed Lambton and the magnificent Pemberley Hall (home to the romantic suitor Fitzwilliam Darcy) was directly inspired by Chatsworth House.

Ganseys (or ‘Guernseys’) are steeped in maritime history.

Known  as the 'fishersmans jumper', they were an integral and invaluable item of clothing for sailors and fishermen, especially those who were based along the Eastern Coast of the UK.

Our ganseys have dropped shoulders and a traditional square stand-up collar, with a unique detail on the shoulders.
